A couple of ideas I'm tossing around for a small game and logo. Also just a sketch to pass the time.

Contest Number 2 Update

OK here is the final design for the "UIT DE KEUKEN" logo. I'm pretty happy with it, I think it is minimal and mostly easy to read. If anyone wants to critique this by all means, I would love to get some opinions on this.

Contest Number 2

Hello blog!

So I'm continuing the roll of logo contests on Freelancer. This is surprisingly fun and productive, if I make a logo I'm happy with I got another portfolio piece to add to the collection, then if I win I get the portfolio addition plus cash! Yay, money! This current one is for a German deli shop and coffee shop, not too different from grounds with a heavier emphasis on the food, the shop is called Uit De Keuken (From the Kitchen). He wanted a bit of a homely/modern look. This is what I got so far, I like the pepper grinder as the icon. I wanna add a gradient. I can't choose a font currently, I can't seem to find one that fits the design. I may have to alter it, cause at this current point I'm not happy with anything below. But just wanted to post some progress.

Contest Entry

Entered a Contest to design a logo for a start up web design/developer company. They didn't give very many details beside the company name (M Creation). This was my entry.

Jobs and Silly Mistakes

It's been awhile blog... I know, I hate myself too. I've been brushing up on my HTML5, CSS, and Javascript. Playing with Canvas lately working on a small game. It's been a lot of fun, and pretty beneficial as I've been looking more into web design positions as a means of employment. I am pretty bored at the gas station. I feel its time to move on and put this degree to use in any fashion accessible to me. Modeling is still going to be a big part of my routine (and so is the GDC for any of my school friends that may stumble on this), but for now I think I'm going to focus on just moving a step up. And I see that most accessible step being Web Development or Graphic Design as the Jobs for Web/Graphic Design to Modeling are seriously 75 to 1 especially in North West Ohio.

But while working on the main game loop, I forgot a single line of code. And while moving my player around on the screen he left some pretty interesting results behind that I may spent more time than I should have playing around with this bug. But here are some interesting designs caused by a fun mistake.
