February 10 - Designs

Some recent design work. I made the black and white design and stencil design in illustrator. I made a few tiny stencils to make sure everything looked decent on some cheap poster board. Cut up and put together cardboard box piece into two separate stencils each one about 5 foot by 5 foot. This is the resulting composition. I ended up simplifying the text in the final piece, I felt the original design was too literal. I like a small amount of ambiguity when creating my work. I feel you can still easily pull out my original intention in the final composition. And with less text, I feel its faster to draw the viewer in.
