January 21 - This and That

School is back on, sweet? Anyway just a couple of highlights from my sketchbook from the past few weeks. I've been looking at a lot of street art lately... and made a few designs. Not that I would ever actually put them into use... because you know... it's illegal, immoral, and wrong. So what if I even made a tag name, god it doesn't mean anything!

I also have a planes of the head study in their for a sculpture I'll be attempting. My work flow for this sculpture is going as follows; sketch, Maya mock up, work from reference of Maya pics as I carve. It will most likely be carved out of limestone. I'm really looking forward to making this, it would be my first attempt at carving stone and it should be an interesting experience.

And the video is a playblast of me playing around with Maya. Working with simple modeling and dynamics. I'm astounded every time I work with Maya and explore something new in it.

The rest is just random practice while watching TV, and a few landscape thumbnails.
